3D Printing

Use our 3D printer without even leaving home! How?

Email YA Librarian Darcy Sowers (dsowers@chboothlibrary.org) with the 3D model in .stl file format and your desired filament color. We’ll let you know when you can pick up your print.

We have two 3D printers, each with their own filament colors.

Our smaller printer is the Lulzbot Mini 2. This printer has a print area of 5.5″ x 5.5″ x 6.5″. The available PLA filament colors for the Lulzbot are blue, black, white, red, gray, green, yellow, and orange.

Our larger printer is the Creality CR-10S Pro V2. This printer has a print area of 11.5″ x 11.5″ x 15.5″. The available PLA filament colors for the Creality are blue, black, white, red, dark gray, marble, gold, fire silk, blue silk, and glow in the dark.

This service is limited to C. H. Booth Library cardholders only. Individuals are limited to 3 hours of print time per week. Your print may be resized to fit this time limit. If your design must be resized, library staff will let you know before printing.

Find ready-to-print files at Thingiverse. You can find all sorts of fun things to print online, from keychains to household tools, decorations to replacement parts, and more!

Design your own 3D models at TinkerCAD. TinkerCAD is free and offers tutorials to get you started.

Note: Library staff are unable to assist with the designing of 3D models. The library is not responsible for the quality of your design.
