Craftastic! – Every Wednesday @ 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm Drop by the chbMAKERS’ Corner after school to get your craft on! Don’t want to craft in the library due to covid? Stop by and grab a kit to take home. There are a limited number of kits available. Kits are first come, first served.

Open to tweens and teens. Registration is not required.

Midweek Game Night! – Every Wednesday @ 5:00 pm – 7:45 pm Calling all tabletop gamers! Are you looking for a place to play? Want to share your love of tabletop with others? Then join us each week for Midweek Game Night! Discover new games, play old favorites, and meet other gaming enthusiasts. Each week we’ll choose a different game to highlight!

  • February 2 – Batman: Rogues Gallery
  • February 9 – Exploding Kittens
  • February 16 – Chess
  • February 23 – Channel A

Open to tweens, teens, families, and adults. Registration is not required.

SPECIAL EVENT! – Introduction to Babysitting With Amanda Lisk – March 5 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Babysitters have the responsibility of caring for children and making important decisions while they are in charge. Parents entrust their child with the babysitter, therefore, it is crucial that the sitter knows the basics of child care. In this three hour course, participants will learn interviewing tips, communication skills, ages and stages of young babies and toddlers, safety and first aid tips, and feeding and caring for children, including diaper changing. A simple test will be administered at the completion of the course and certificates of completion will be distributed. This course is open for tweens and teens. Participants should bring a pen and some paper, as well as a snack. Space is limited for this course. Registration is required. Click here to register.

SPECIAL EVENT! – LED Zodiac Art with Ingrid Schaeffer – Saturday, March 12 @ 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm. Everyone has a zodiac sign. What’s yours? What does your sign say about you? Join us as Ingrid Schaeffer teaches us about our signs and the constellations that correspond to them. Then, learn how to make your own 3D LED wall light of your zodiac sign! All the materials needed to make your LED art will be provided. This program is open to tweens and teens. Space is limited. Carm’s Classics Club – Thursday, April 21 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm Join us for the next meeting of Carm’s Classics. This meeting we explore the seedy side of Victorian London with Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist and Terry Pratchett’s Dodger! Carm’s Classics Club is open to tweens, teens, and adults. All participants will receive a copy of both Oliver Twist and Dodger that they may keep. Copies are available for pickup at the Young Adult desk for participants. This is a hybrid program.
