Resource Page | C25K | Couch to 5K | 2023
This is a free, ten-week program to prepare folks who have been away from running for some time -and- those new to running to run the Newtown Turkey Trot on November 26, 2023 in support of the C.H. Booth Library.
We will meet weekly on Wednesdays at Fairfield Hills – rain or shine — at the Glanders Field parking lot (just past Keating Farms Road) under the red library canopy. Join this email list for Updates about C25K
There we will do a group warmup and run/jog/walk (advanced, intermediate, and beginner levels accommodated), we will share some stories and goals, and learn about healthy resources at the library. More importantly, we will make some friends, share a laugh, and get healthier. It is NOT rocket science. There are many plans one can find, many are very similar. Most consist of three to four workouts per week specific to ramping up to a 5K. I will encourage you to be active in other areas too, like swimming, yoga, and indoor cycling.
We’ll gather before and after the race on November 26th to celebrate and for a group photo.
