POP! From Comics to Consumerism
Tuesday, June 5th from 6:30 to 8:00 in the Meeting Room. ArtScapades looks at the artists who broke down the boundaries traditionally separating fine art from everyday life, and laid the foundation for the art world’s aesthetic embrace of commodity culture. This lecture looks at the lives and works of Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein (above), and Andy Warhol, and leaves the art world at the brink of Contemporary Art. Wine and light refreshments will be available. Please register.
