“The C.H. Booth Library Board of Trustees is deeply saddened by the passing of the Honorable William J. Lavery, Emeritus Trustee. Judge Lavery was a passionate supporter of the library and a firm believer in its vital role for the people of Newtown. In recent years, he graciously returned to advocate to town officials on the library’s behalf, and his support meant so much to us. Judge Lavery’s profound knowledge of the library’s history was an invaluable resource. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Judge Lavery’s family during this difficult time.”
