The Connecticut Nutmeg Book Award is given out each year to a book that is not chosen by teachers, parents or librarians, but by YOU, young Connecticut readers.

 

There are three categories:

Intermediate Level (Grades 4, 5, & 6)

Teen Level (Grades 7 & 8)

High School Level (Grades 9 - 12)

YA Council kids faces

If you love reading and library programs, consider joining our Young Adult Council,

a group of young teens in grades 6 and up. We meet monthly to talk about books,

plan programs, and volunteer at the Library. We are always looking for new members!

 

YAC meets the last Monday of every month -

January 28, February 25, March 18, April 22, May 20, June 24, September 23
October 28, November 18, & December 16

Next meeting to discuss summer programs - Monday, April 22, from 3-5 pm
