ANNOUNCING THE 2019 ANNUAL SUMMER BOOK SALE
The 44th Annual Book Sale will be held from Saturday, July 13 to Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane Newtown, CT 06470. Details to follow as they become available.
We are very grateful to the town and school officials who make this sale possible, as well as to the businesses and companies whose support of the book sale allows the Friends to direct more of the book sale’s income to the library.
Scanners and other electronic devices are welcome on the sales floor, only if used safely with consideration for other patrons. Stockpiling and “clearing” are not permitted. All items found under tables, along walls, on gym risers, etc,. will be returned to the sale tables.
On Saturday, volume buyers must box and check their intended purchases in a Holding Area (Room 203 or in the cafetorium adjacent to the Children’s Area.)
In Compliance with Fire and Building Regulations, aisles and exits must not be blocked. No heelies, food, or pets are permitted in the school building. No small-wheeled carts are allowed in the gym.
Infringement of these guidelines can lead to removal from the sale.
