To create a free email account couldn’t be easier! Yahoo provides just the service you need and you can be set up in minutes! You don’t need you own computer either; your email can be accessed from any computer as long as you remember your username and password. The C.H. Booth Library has 10 public computers at your disposal!
- First go to www.yahoo.com .
- Click on “Free email” sign up in the upper right hand corner.
- Fill in all of the information they require in the boxes provided.
- You are not required to provide any information in the boxes that are gray – such as your name and date of birth. This is optional.
- Some people use their name as the username: janesmith@yahoo.com. A box will inform you if this username has already been taken; if so, try adding middle initial or a number to make this unique. Remember to write it down for your records.
- Choose any password between 6 and 32 characters – upper and lower case, symbols, and numbers can all be used. No spaces, though. Remember to write it down for your records.
- Click on “Create My Account” at the bottom of the page and you’ve done it!
- To check to see if you have email, go to www.Yahoo.com and sign in with your new Yahoo ID and Password.
