Wellness: generally used to mean a healthy balance of body, mind and spirit that results in an overall feeling of well being.  In this fast paced and uncertain world it is easy to feel a little anxious and overwhelmed.  The C.H. Booth Library can help!  We have a variety of  resources  available  to  help you feel less stressed and more fulfilled.

MAGAZINES

 

The CH Booth Library owns a number of health, nutrition and exercise magazines.  They are located on the second floor in the Periodical Room.  They circulate for 3 weeks.  They are Cooking Light, Health, Mother Earth News, OG Organic Gardening, Prevention, Sierra, Weight Watchers and Yoga Journal.

 

The health related newsletters are located on the third floor.  They are Arthritis Advisor, Focus on Healthy Aging, Health After 50, Mayo Clinic Health Letters, Tufts Health and Nutrition Letter and Womens Health Advisor.

 

ON-LINE RESOURCES

 

ICONN is an on-line resource designed to allow you to search databases by subject and find magazine articles in your chosen area. You can search from the library computers or from your home computer.  When you search from home, you will need your library card number.  From the CH Booth homepage, click on reference in the left hand column.  Next click on ICONN.org.  Next click on search individual  resources.  Here you will find many databases that will help you in your search.   Some suggested databases include:
