Books about North American Exploration can be found using the call numbers910.92 or 970.01 in Adult, YA and in the Children’s Dept . Biographies can be found in the Biography Area according to who the book is about: B Columbus, B Raleigh, B Soto, YA B Vespucci.

The internet can help a great deal with your research. Using the same subject headings listed above, or indeed any others that you think of, and entering them in Google you will find a great deal of information. The CH Booth Library has a number of on-line resources available for you from both at the library and from home. The CH Booth Library website is www.chboothlibrary.org. When using these on-line resources from home, you must enter your library card number. From our homepage, click on REFERENCE along the left hand side of the page and then choose one of our on-line databases. In this case, ICONN.org is a good choice.
