The C.H. Booth Library has a number of online resources available in the library and from home. When using these online resources from home, you must enter your library card number.

ICONN.org is a good choice to help you find magazine articles on your particular subject. If Powersearch is too broad, from More iConn Content , on left, you may select Search Individual Resources and limit search to Academic OneFile, General Reference Center Gold, etc.

A to Z Maps Online. From Main Menu select Antique Map Collection and then select LOC Military Battles and Campaigns. At this point type in the battle you are interested in and many copies of old maps become available to you.

CIRCULATING BOOKS
Books about the Civil War are in call number 973.7 in both Adult and YA. When looking up a more specific topic within the larger topic of the Civil War it is best to use, for example, the SUBJECT heading of “Civil War 1861-1865- women” or “Civil War 1861-1865- prisons” etc. Works of fiction about the Civil War can be found in the same way, for example “Civil War 1861-1865- fiction.”
Biographies can be found in the Biography sections of both YA and Adult according to the subject of the book : B Lincoln, B Grant, B Lee, B Sherman, B Douglass, B Barton etc.
